Since its inception in 1983, Lightning SC has trained and developed dozens of soccer players who have moved on to play soccer at the collegiate level. In the fall 2009 season alone, there are 22 men and 4 women competing  on college teams who came through Lightning’s ranks. Many of these players started with Lightning SC when they were under 10 years old.
