Accept your travel team placement online by July 15th!!
READ BELOW for the details!!
|July 15, 2017 is the deadline to accept your Fall 2017 |
You've received an email that your son/daughter has been rostered on a Fall 2017 travel team. The first thing you need to do is accept their our team placement online in GotSoccer. Submitting a Roster Acceptance Form in GotSoccer is required by ALL players. (The link is below.)
(If not done correctly, the GotSoccer system will not connect your player to their team assignment.)
Step 2. Order Admiral Uniforms
Note: Parents are responsible for ordering their player's uniforms.
Order your Player Game Kit and Player Training Kit uniforms directly from Admiral by July 15, 2017 to ensure delivery by the start of the fall season.
Both the Game Kit and the Training kit uniforms are required for new players.
Other items, such as LSC pullovers, travel team pants and soccer backpacks under the Team Travel Wear tab are optional.
Returning players are not required to order a new Game Kit for the fall season. You will retain your jersey number from last year. But you should place an order with Admiral if your current Game Kit or Training Kit no longer fits, or if it is in poor condition, or if you would like to order any additional gear (training tops, long pants, for example) for team wear or for gift giving (birthday or holiday presents).
The scholarship application deadline for the Fall 2017 season is July 7, 2017. The scholarship committee will not review applications for the Fall season that are submitted after July 7th, as the funds for the Fall season will be announced (and fully allocated) on July 10th. Please see the Scholarship Fund page of the LSC website for more information about applying for scholarship assistance.
The Fall fee includes participation in a local Pre-Season Jamboree (the weekend of August 26/27) and a Columbus Day tournament (either the Nashua CDT or the Seacoast CDT).
Indoor winter training is included in your Fall fee. All Fall 2017 travel team players can attend indoor Winter Training sessions (for your age group), at no additional cost. Indoor sessions are held in a 50 x 80 yard indoor turf facility at Kimball Union Academy in Meriden, NH. Come to as many sessions as you can, but don't worry if you can only make a few. The purpose of Winter Training is to give you a chance to keep a foot on the ball and continue to play as much as possible over the winter.
Each travel team will have it's own website for team specific information: practice schedules, games schedules, team contact information, carpooling help, league and tournament information, important links, articles, etc. It is a critical site to managing your player's team experience. We use Shutterfly for our team websites, and these will be constructed and announced to you within the coming month.
Remember: YOUR team's Shutterfly site is where information about YOUR season will be found. So look for an email from us with a link/invitation to YOUR site in the coming weeks.
Finally, we ask for your help. Lightning Soccer Club is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization and we work to keep team fees as low as possible. We are a community-based club and heavily rely on parent volunteers to manage teams, contribute to the Bobby Clark Scholarship Fund, and to spread the word about other LSC programs - such as Advantage Clinics and LSC Summer Camps. We are currently seeking volunteers to be assistant coaches and team managers for the Fall 2017 season, as well as helpers (parking attendants, field marshals, raffle and food/drink tent assistance, etc.) at our Pre-Season Jamboree at the end of August.
Please contact the office if you would like to volunteer in any capacity.
We would love to hear from you!
