Lightning Soccer Club (LSC) is a non-profit community-based soccer organization. LSC Board of Directors is committed to making the Lightning experience broadly available to qualified, committed soccer players who wish to participate. Accordingly, the Board of Directors fundraises and collects donations for the Bobby Clark Scholarship Fund and empowers the Scholarship Committee of the board to review applications and grant awards. Since LSC receives many requests and has limited scholarship funds available, these scholarships (typically in the form of a reduced fee) are granted to the most qualified applicants based on:

• Financial need (i.e., LSC fees will cause financial hardship)
• Commitment to LSC as the applicant’s primary extracurricular commitment for the season.

 - Spring 2010 scholarship application due dates are:
        December 8th, 2009 for U8-U14 teams
        January 4th, 2010 for U15-U18 teams

 - Fall 2010 scholarship application due dates are:
        July 20, 2010 for U9-U14 teams

History of Bobby Clark Scholarship Fund
The Bobby Clark Scholarship Fund was established in the spring of 1994 as a tribute to Bobby B. Clark, former Dartmouth College Men's Head Coach. Coach Clark was instrumental in the creation of the Lightning Soccer Club during his nine-year tenure at the College (1985-1993). His enthusiasm for the game of soccer and his kindness and generosity toward the children of the Upper Valley exemplifies the spirit of giving and love of soccer on which the Lightning program is based.
