This is an incredible opportunity for Lightning. Charles is from Zimbabwe, where for three years he was the coach of the Zimbabwe National Team, participating in the World Cup and Africa Cup of Nations Games. He holds the most advanced coaching degree in Germany and has worked with some of the top clubs there, such as Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen, training both senior and junior players. In addition to his work on the national team and in youth programs, he has coached and produced some of the top players in the English Premier League, like Benjani Mwaruwari (Manchester City), Peter Ndlovu (Coventry F.C., Sheffield F.C., Birmingham City FC). Most recently Charles has been assisting at Wesleyan University and working in the US at various elite camps.

Charles will work with all Lightning teams and coaches and will be a fantastic resource for both players and coaches. You will see him at work beginning March 11th at indoor practices. Please welcome him and introduce yourselves to him as the opportunity becomes available. He will be with us for the entire spring season and will come to as many practices and games as possible.
