Head Coaches:
This team is lucky to have a pair of head coaches who will work together with the team and who bring a wealth of experience to the field. Stew Yaguda has coached soccer for over ten years working with Lightning teams, Rec teams and more recently as head coach of the Hanover High JV Girls for the past two seasons. Stew holds coaching licenses from both the USYSA and from NSCAA. Molly Luft played four years of Division 1 soccer at Lehigh University where she served as a two-year captain. After graduating she worked in Nicaragua coaching in the Soccer Without Borders program. This fall she assisted both the JV and Varsity girls programs at Hanover High.

Parent Roles:
Team Manager - Team Managers work with the coaches and with the Lightning organization to provide answers to any questions families have. A Team Manager is key to keeping everyone informed and organized, at the right place for practices and games, and with the right gear. If you want to know what's going on and you feel you can communicate clearly and quickly to people, this is the job for you! Please contact us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it if interested.

Assistant Coaches - We encourage parents with a soccer background and with interest in coaching to volunteer to be Assistant Coaches. Some parents have very impressive soccer/soccer coaching backgrounds and can take on more responsibility in terms of managing games or practices if the head coach has a conflict, others just love to get out and run around and help. If you are interested in helping out as an assistant coach, please contact us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it Thank you!

League Information:
The U15 Girls team will compete in the Senior Division of the Granite State Youth Soccer League (GSYSL). The Senior Division is for teams U15 through U19 and is divided into A through D levels. Once we have player commitments we will commit the team to a level. League web site: http://www.granitestatesoccer.com

Spring Practice Schedule:
Early season practices will begin in mid-March at Grantham Indoor once per week (day and time tba) and outside on the turf at KUA once it is cleared of snow. Regular outdoor practices will begin after the April public school vacation week; they will be on Tuesdays/Thursdays (time tba but will be 5:30 pm or later) at either Huntley Meadows in Norwich, VT or KUA (Kimball UnionAcademy) in Meriden, NH. A finalized spring practice schedule will be available by mid-February.

Game Schedule:
The league sets the game schedule by April 1st. It is an 8-game schedule: four home games and four away. Games begin in mid-April and conclude in mid-June. Important: please plan to be back from April vacation by Sunday, April 25th for what will likely be the team’s first game date. In addition to the regular league games, the team will attend the Needham TournamentNeedham, MA. Please plan on soccer for that weekend!
