Sasa Cirovic is the Director of Coaching for Lightning Soccer Club, where he oversees coaching strategy, curriculum, and player development across all age groups and programs. In this role, Sasa leads the design and implementation of training sessions and works closely with the coaching staff to ensure consistent, high-quality technical and tactical instruction for Lightning SC players.

With a strong focus on individual development and long-term growth, Sasa collaborates with academy staff (including Academy Director Lucas Richardson) to create engaging and effective training environments that help players improve their skills and understanding of the game.

A former All-Ivy League defender and team captain at Dartmouth College (07’), Richardson earned two Ivy League championships and helped the Big Green reach the NCAA postseason during his playing career.

After graduating, he gained diverse coaching and leadership experience including serving as an assistant coach at Dartmouth, coaching and supporting programs in Zambia with Grassroot Soccer, and teaching high school history in Denver and Kansas City. He has also been extensively involved with Soccer Without Borders, supporting soccer-based youth development for refugee and immigrant youngsters.

Lucas returned to the Upper Valley with his family and brings a global coaching perspective and a strong commitment to player and youth development to both Lightning SC and Hanover High School, where he leads the soccer program.
