Severe Weather Guidelines 

Outdoor Sessions and Games: Outdoor training sessions and games will only be cancelled or postponed if there is a threat of severe weather or if there is too much standing water on the field. Our aim is to make a cancellation decision by 2:00 pm each day. Should there be a cancellation, we will email players through their Sports Engine team site and post the cancellation to the LSC website. 

Thunder and Lightning: In the event of thunder and lightning during a training session or game, LSC coaches will immediately clear players from the field and seek shelter. Coaches will wait 30 minutes after the last thunder or lightning strike before resuming training. 

Indoor Sessions: During the winter months, we ask that parents and players use their judgement when traveling to the Barn at Kimball Union Academy or Grantham Indoors for training sessions. We understand that weather and road conditions vary throughout the area. If a session is not canceled and you do not feel safe driving - please stay home! Indoor soccer programs are held indoors and therefore not often subject to cancellation. However, in the event of severe road or weather conditions or an unforeseen closure of the facility, then we may need to cancel a session. Our aim is to make a cancellation decision by 2:00 pm each day. Should there be a cancellation, we will email players through their Sports Engine Winter Training site.
