Friday Night Soccer

Friday Night Soccer is Lightning Soccer Club's new summer pickup league designed for middle and high school players who want to compete, improve their game, and enjoy soccer in a fun, fast-paced environment.

Every Friday evening, players will gather at the CCBA Turf Fields for small-sided games that maximize touches, decision-making, and competition. Teams will be formed each week based on attendance, creating a dynamic and social atmosphere while ensuring balanced competition and plenty of playing time for everyone.

Whether you're preparing for your upcoming school season, staying sharp during the summer, or simply looking to play with friends, Friday Night Soccer offers the perfect combination of development and competition.

Program Details

Dates: June 26 – August 14
Location: CCBA Turf Fields

Schedule

  • Middle School Division: 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM

  • High School Division: 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM

Format

  • Small-sided games (5v5 or 6v6, including goalkeepers)

  • 15–20 minute matches

  • Rotating substitutions to keep players engaged

  • Coed format (girls-only division may be added based on registration interest)

  • Teams formed weekly based on attendance and player balance

Our Goals

  • Provide a fun, competitive environment for youth players

  • Maximize playing time and minimize sitting out

  • Encourage creativity, confidence, and game intelligence through small-sided play

  • Create an exciting summer competition featuring league standings, challenges, and a season-ending tournament

Coaching & Supervision

Friday Night Soccer will be led by Zach Tracy and Kiran Park, two current college soccer players with coaching experience and a passion for player development. Additional Lightning coaches may assist throughout the summer.

Registration

Open to all players within the appropriate age groups, regardless of club affiliation.
