Why Juggle?

Every soccer legend shares one secret weapon: mastery of the ball.
Juggling isn’t just a trick—it’s the foundation of great soccer.

20 minutes of juggling 5+ days a week helps players develop:

  • Lightning-quick first touch under pressure

  • Balance & coordination to glide past defenders

  • Equal skill in both feet, making you unpredictable

  • Comfort with the ball in every game situation

The LSC Juggling Club challenges every Lightning player to improve through dedicated practice, measurable progress, and the pursuit of ball mastery.

Rules

  • For Levels 1-6, a valid test is 4 attempts at one time, with juggles from the best two attempts added up

  • Levels 7 and 8 have specific rules

  • U10 and younger players start at Level 1, U11 and older players start at Level 3. Levels must be achieved in order from start.

  • Levels 1-3: Ball can start from hands, but hands cannot be used after start.

  • Levels 4-8: Ball MUST start from feet!

Verification Methods

  1. Live test in front of LSC Coach! Player lets coach know before or after practice that they are ready to test, specifying the Level they intend to achieve. Coach watches the four attempts, and helps keep track of totals. If the player’s best two attempts add up to the goal, level is achieved. The coach should contact Coach Lucas (lucas@lsc1983.com) and specify the Level and total. If player agrees, coach should send a picture or short video of the player in action!

  2. Video Submission! Video must be recorded and submitted by LSC parent. All four attempts must be recorded (the full “test”) in one video. Upon completion, share video with Coach Lucas (lucas@lsc1983.com). If you are comfortable, share permission to post clip and shoutout on LSC social media.

Juggling club levels

    • Level 1: 50 w/ Bounce – One bounce allowed between touches.

    • Level 2: 50 Any Touch – No bounce; feet, thighs, head all count.

  • Prize: Name on website for any level completed; LSC Juggling Club Hoodie for completing Level 6.

    • Level 3: 100 Any Touch – Ball may start from hands.

    • Level 4: 100 Mostly Feet – Feet count fully; thigh touches = 1 each. Start from ground/feet.

    • Level 5: 100 Feet Only – No other body parts; start from ground.

    • Level 6: 100 Weak Foot Only – Only non-dominant foot; start from ground.

  • Prize: For completing Levels 7 and 8, name and photo added to LSC Juggling Club Hall of Fame and honorary social media post

    • Level 7 – Progressive:

      • Alternate feet, adding 1 touch each time (1R, 2L, 3R… up to 15).

      • 120 touches total if completed.

      • 4 attempts, but each attempt starts at 1!

    • Level 8 – Body Parts:

      • Use all 14 parts:

        • Feet x 4: top, inside, outside, heel x 2 (both feet)

        • Thighs: both

        • Shoulders: both

        • Head

        • Chest

      • 2-minute rounds; best score counts.

      • Perfection: 14 parts in 14 touches.
