Summer Training Series: June 23rd to August 8

Open to all incoming 9th - 12th grade students, boys and girls, the Summer Training Series will combine technical work, possession and small-sided games, and local competitive play with soccer-specific speed, agility, and fitness training. There will be two soccer training sessions per week and one fitness session per week.

Soccer Training 

When: June 23rd through August 8, with a break the week of July 7th. 

  • 2 soccer sessions per week, most likely on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5-7 pm (days/times subject to change pending field availability)

  • **Off the week of July 7th** We will share at home training plan

Where: Dresden Fields, Norwich

What: Technical ballwork, rondos and possession, small sided games and Tactical Game Understanding Activities, “In house” and local scrimmages, take home training plans and tactical reviews, sports nutrition information

Note: We will create groups and teams using gender, age, and ability as guidelines. Our goal will be to put players in situations in which they are challenged but feel comfortable taking risks and see and feel their technical skill progression. Competence = Confidence.

Fitness, Speedwork and Agility

When: Thursday mornings 7:15-8:45 (day and time to be confirmed)

Where: Hanover High School Track and Turf

What: Sport-specific fitness, conditioning, agility, and speedwork with an emphasis on injury prevention, body weight strength exercises, explosiveness, and cardiovascular training. In addition to weekly fitness sessions, we will provide at-home fitness and strength training plans and workouts for all registered participants.

Tuition

  • $295 for the summer for both fitness and soccer sessions – 18 sessions total

  • $100 for fitness only
